The brief is set and the challenge is clear. Now we get creative.
During this phase, we follow the journey from limitless ideas to structured concepts, developing and refining them until one clear product direction emerges. This is where the true magic happens and where a product finds its unique identity and where real value is created.

Ideas.
We explore multiple paths before choosing the strongest direction. Building on the brief and the ideas already on the table, we deliberately look beyond the most immediate solution. Brainstorming and creative exploration help us uncover different possibilities, with each idea contributing to a better understanding of what the product could become. This is where ingenuity comes in. We combine promising elements, explore unexpected directions and identify the ideas that can make the final product more distinctive, relevant and valuable.
Concepts.
We prefer to introduce 3D CAD early in this phase, so proportions, volumes, feasibility and initial cost indications can be evaluated from the very first concepts.
Where useful, we support this with mood boards, lifestyle impressions or 3D-printed prototypes. The most promising concepts are visualised from different angles using specialised rendering software, bringing them close enough to reality to support a well-founded decision.
We identify and develop the concepts with the greatest potential. We present them clearly, making the reasoning behind each direction and solution transparent. We show what makes each concept strong, which considerations come with it and how it could develop further.

Once the final direction is clear, we fine-tune the concept until it is ready to be built as a fully functional prototype. This gives us the confidence to move into the engineering phase with a clear and well-founded direction.
Engineering.
The balance between design intent and manufacturing reality is where good engineering makes the difference.
We turn the approved concept into a product that works, can be manufactured efficiently and retains the qualities that made the original concept worth pursuing.

Materials are selected, tolerances defined and every component is optimised for its production process, performance and cost. Every decision serves the same goal: ensuring that the product leaving the factory stays true to the product we designed.
We think ahead. Production is part of the conversation from day one, and it helps to know early where the product will be made. Parts are designed for efficient manufacture, reliable assembly and a cost that makes commercial sense. Realistic prototypes allow us to evaluate these decisions before committing to production.

Prototyping.
Prototypes are built to test and prove our work. Using the specification from the analysis phase as our compass, we evaluate function, ergonomics, safety and assembly. We refine and retest until the product performs as intended and meets the required standards.

By the end of this phase, every component has been defined, the 3D CAD has been optimised and the production documentation is complete. With a fully functional prototype available, the design is ready for handover to production still retaining the qualities that make the product stand out.
